Hello my name is Søren Jacob Lauritsen and I live in the state of Denmark located in the northern part of Europe. I picked up on collecting model trains at the age of five, starting with my first Märklin® train set. I've been running Märklin® until 2006 when I made the switch to running two-rail.
I have always enjoyed trains and I'm fascinated about the great machines and the huge logistics network. I enjoy collecting the model trains and see them run. Usually I have a few model trains running and the others locked up in their boxes. I mostly collect the German model trains from era V, but I'm not totally fanatic about it. If I see something I like I add it to my train collection. One thing I am fanatic about is the running number on the wagons and coaches. No two wagons or coaches in my collection has the same running number.
My Model Railway World
My main interest in model trains is the modern European railway. I like to model Era V running from 1990 to about 2007, but my interest in the railroad history takes me beyond those limits as well. My model railway collection represents a wide selection of the modern German trains.
I am also a member of FREMO (Freundeskreis Europäischer Modellbahner) and build my model railway in modules according to the FREMO standard.
